HALLOWEEN!!!

I did some babysitting this week and earned a little extra money....soooooo I finally got Savannah's Halloween costume today!
(This picture cracks me up, she's trying to look at her hat)
I LOOOOOVVVVEEEE Kid to Kid! I got her costume there for $3.50!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! (can you tell I'm excited??)
Chris just laughed at me, he thinks the whole thing is rediculous, because obviously she doesn't care if she's dressed up or not, so really it was just for me. But we have a halloween party to go to, so she needed a costume :D And I don't regret it AT ALL!!! Because she looks SOOO stinkin' cute!

Let the Brusing begin!

Savannah has figured out how to pull herself up to things; the couch, the bed, her crib, anything and EVERYTHING. Problem is once she's up she doesn't know how to get down... SO she screams! I laid her down for her nap today about 2 hours later when it was about time for her to wake up I heard a blood curdling scream! This is what I found:

She was freaking out because she was starting to get shaky and was afraid she was going to fall! This afternoon when I tried to put her down for a nap, she wouldn't go to sleep because she wouldn't lay down long enough to go to sleep, she kept crawling up the side of her crib...

Solids

Savannah has been eating solids for the last two months. Until tonight she's liked EVERYTHING! She likes sweet potatoes, potatoes, bananas, mangos, strawberries, pb&j, chicken, ham, and of course her VERY favorite blueberries! Today I gave her green beans, at first she didn't seem to like them much, but continued to eat them. When I gave her sweet potatoes the first time she did the same thing, by the second try she liked them. So I got the green beans back out to try one more time. Before I could even get them in her month she made a disgusted face. (I was giving them to her cold, so I warmed them up and tried again) She made the face again, but opened her mouth so I stuck some in, she actually started to gag! Guess she doesn't like 'em much!

While blogging...

Savannah was crawling around on the floor with some toys. While the video posted below was loading I noticed Savannah crawling under the bed...

I called her name and she popped out holding one of her toys (the green and purple blur in the above picture).
She was SO proud of herself for getting her toy! She came out from under the bed giggling.
Her little personality has sure started to shine! She's such a crack up.
Caught in the act!

Giggles

So I sound like a total dork in this, but if you don't roar loud she doesn't laugh. She was laughing harder before I got the camera out. The camera and James were a distraction (you can see her looking over to the side in the video, that's because James was sitting next to her and she was looking at him.)

No babies were eaten or harmed in the making of this video.

A Real Officer

On Wednesday Chris was sworn in an officer!YAY! He continues his training with a field officer for the next 6 months before he is considered an "official" officer.

His mom was able to come for his graduation. We had a lot of fun going to the Aquarium downtown and shopping in Old Town Spring.
This is me, mom and James waiting for the graduation to start. During the graduation James was having fun clapping as loud as he could (we clapped after every officer got their badge...77 of them). A little girl in front of us put her hands over her ears and turned back to glare at James. She was probably 5. It was pretty funny.

Amazing Husband and Father

Chris gave me a break from the normal routine yesterday. He watched Savannah while I went shopping! YAY! So much fun! I got some new shoes (they had a killer deal!) and new running shoes (Chris' present to me for my birthday, a little early because I was dying to go running). I made the mistake of going into the bead store next to the shoe store, appropriately named Beadaholic.
We planned on going to get our new cell phones and change our numbers when I got home from shopping. We barely got down the street when Savannah started throwing up...a wrench in a perfect day. I felt so bad for her. I stayed home with Savannah who proceeded to throw up for the next three hours while Chris took care of the phones. I was a little nervous about what phone he would pick out for me...He did great, my phone is awesome and he even got a pink case for me. I seriously have the BEST husband in the world!

Growing up SO fast

Yesterday I noticed a large lump under Savannah's gums and they looked swollen. I thought just maybe it was a tooth, but she didn't seem too grumpy and usually babies are pretty fussy when they are teething. This morning I woke up to find Savannah's very first tooth starting to poke through. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up, at this rate next thing I know I'll be planning a wedding.

Sweet Savannah

Today while Chris and I were watching a show, Savannah was playing on my lap. Suddenly she reached up and grabbed my lip/chin in her fist turned my head towards her and planted wet lips to mine! She did it twice! I was laughing SOOO hard!
